Stone Ridge – Bowling Green Ohio Wedding Photographer
What was the most memorable moment of your Wedding day?
Bride: My most memorable moment of the day was our first look! Walking up behind Sean, then tapping his shoulder. Having him turn around and see his amazing smile and tears is something I will never forget.
Groom: Definitely seeing Alison the first time in her dress.
What was the Funniest memory from your wedding day?
Bride: Two for this one… First has to be me falling on the dance floor with all my UTMC family around me! Second is hiking around the wet grounds at Stone
Ridge and trying to not fall as my heels sunk into ground.
Groom: Entering the reception and taking a seat at head table and realizing one of the over head lights was shining on me like a spot light.
Special moments you will never forget from your Wedding Day?
Bride: During the ceremony when the pastor allowed us to take a moment and look around the crowd. To be able to take that moment and see all our friends and family was priceless.
Groom: First dance – loved dancing with Alison as we sang our song “in case you didn’t know”. And my garter dance… I debated long and hard whether to do one and man I am so glad I did. It was so fun!
What was your favorite detail you did for your wedding?
Bride: Loved how the seating place cards/tees came together and the framed golf mat to display them!
Groom: Loved that our card container was a golf bag I won at a tournament!
What was the flavor of your cake?
The cake we cut was white with white frosting. Guests had options of cherry chip, red velvet, white and marble cake.
Where are you going for your Honeymoon?
Went to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Seven days of beach, pool and sunshine was just what we needed after the crazy months leading up to wedding!
Photographers: Gage Blake Photography
Venue: Stone Ridge Golf Club
Florist: Hafner Florist
Chairs: Chiavari Chair Toledo
What was the inspiration behind your day?
Mainly some subtle golf touches as that is a huge part of Sean’s life, a few Disney touches here and there as Alison loves everything Disney.
Did you have anything that was DIY?
We used Etsy a lot for items in wedding. The golf tee seating cards I assembled. My dad put together the framed golf mat display. My friend Kim made the amazing signs for the ceremony and cookie bar!
If you could give advice to other Bride’s & Groom’s what is the one thing you would tell them?
Let other people help you! I am someone who likes doing things myself because I know they will be done “my way”. But there is no way I could do everything and still pull this off in 9 months.
How many wedding dresses did you try on? How did you know it was the one?
Tried on 8 or so and ended up choosing the first one! I knew it was the right dress as I felt so beautiful in it and this is huge for a girl who rarely wears dresses ever!
How did you decide on your wedding venue? And how many did you have to look at before you found the perfect one?
We only looked at 3 venues. We wanted a golf course setting and a location that could host both events. We went to one more spot… Stone Ridge. We showed up un announced and it was beautifully set up for a wedding. Kara, the venue coordinator, was so pleasant and not at all annoyed that we dropped in unexpected. She answered all our questions. We knew right then after that amazing first impression that Stone Ridge was the place for us!
