What was the most memorable moment of your Wedding day?
This is really hard! I would have to our actual wedding ceremony. Even though we were in a church full of people, the only part I can remember clear as day is the moments between Zach and I. I can remember his eye contact and the words he said. Without effort I was about to drown everyone else out in that room but us. Our Pastor did a wonderful job with our ceremony, it meant so much.
Honestly the whole day was a big blur, I remember looking out before the ceremony started at a room full of people, seeing so many familiar faces but not being able to recall a single one. I remember feeling so many weird but great feelings all throughout my body and not really knowing what to think. I remember the hours leading up to it flying by but then talking to Jeff (my best man) 10 minutes before saying “wow this is taking forever”. The whole day was absolutely amazing, seeing our families all together having fun and all having a night to remember.
What was the Funniest memory from your wedding day?
If you ask anyone that attended our wedding reception.. they would probably all say the same as me.. the best man’s speech! It was long, but funny! We had a ‘party bus’ to provide transportation (and some fun) before the reception.. and after his speech everyone in that room knew we had had a little fun before the reception haha. I also will never forget the dancing that took place that night! So many funny moments happened on that dance floor!
I would have to say Britni’s brother’s smile all night. For anyone that knows him knows he isn’t a big one on showing emotions and he had just enough to drink that a smile and the words “you see this smile, this ones for your buddy” never stopped all night.
Special moments you will never forget from your Wedding Day?
There are so many! I will never forget standing with Zach while we said our vows. We were both pretty nervous, but he was really nervous, and kept sneezing my hand over and over. From now on when he squeezes my hand I will instantly be back in that moment. I will also never forget seeing him for the first time! He looked so handsome, I couldn’t believe I was getting lucky enough to marry him!
There were many special moments for me throughout the day and night. One of the biggest was when I first saw Britni that day and how great she looked walking down with Mike and Heather. Secondly was just the impact that family has on any event. The feeling of knowing all our parents, grand parents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, cousins, and friends all came out to celebrate and party with us. We had so much fun with everyone and I wouldn’t give that up for anything. The last moments that will forever stick out to me was the ceremony with Forest talking and his message to everyone and to us and also my brothers prayer before eating and the special feeling they both gave us.
What was your favorite detail you did for your wedding?
Meadowbrook! The way it looked and all came together, it was everything I had wanted and we worked so hard for. It just felt romantic! The uplighting made the room magical.
I can’t really point out one detail alone which fully made our wedding day, everything just fell together perfectly due to the efforts of many people.
What was the flavor of your cake?
The guests had their choice of chocolate or vanilla cupcakes, and we chose not to cut a cake on our day. But we did have a cake that held our handmade penguin cake toppers, and it was vanilla flavored!
Where are you going for your Honeymoon?
We are ‘later mooning’. And actually, our dash for cash bet was to see where the destination of our honeymoon would be! So the guests actually decided this for us! If the bride won- the beach. If they groom won, the mountains in Tennessee. The bride won by more then double 😉 So we are planning a spring trip to the keys!

Did you have anything that was DIY?
EVERYTHING. Literally every decorations and detail of our wedding was handmade. It was a great way to both save money and also make the wedding uniquely us! I wouldn’t change a single detail for the world.
If you could give advice to other Bride’s & Groom’s what is the one
thing you would tell them?
Take your time planning, and work together. I fought Zach on a lot of details, I wanted to be more frugal about some things but he stood up for what he wanted and the first thing I said to him when we left the reception was ‘you were completely right and I’m glad you made us do this or that.
